Say nothing and do more is the basis of filling the empty cup, always staying below the halfway point and never reaching the brim.
This mindset allows for drive yet enjoys the beauty of discovery. The joy of Yellow belt is that it gets the student to understand balance and how it all starts to come together. The sails are up and the boat is passing over the waves.
Keep the flow of enquiring and be mindful of the how and why of everything you learn. Learning to swap hands in kata and kihon is a truly remarkable way of putting you ten steps ahead in the stages of learning greater wisdom.
About the Yellow Belt Syllabus
This syllabus has emphasis on correct use of stances and basic techniques combined with movement and, in kumite, working with a partner.
There are new kata too, Sanchin for Seniors, and Taikyoko Jodan for Juniors. Please make sure you also reveiw and continue to practise the katas you have already learnt for White and Red Belt.
